D’abord qu’est-ce que le tourisme dentaire exactement?! Aussi connu sous le nom de vacances dentaires, c’est l’un des secteurs du tourisme médical en plein effort et probablement le plus important. Le tourisme médical en ce cas le tourisme dentaire consiste à se faire soigner dans un pays autre que celui où l’on réside. Les adeptes du tourisme dentaire sont les patients de pays de l’Ouest – les États-Uni,  l’Australie et l’Europe de l’Ouest (Royaume-Uni, Allemagne, Suisse, Italie etc.)  à cause des prix exubérantes, des soins dentaires et le plus souvent les soins ne sont pas couverts par l’assurance maladie.

Low price does not mean low quality in the case of Serbia. On the opposite, Serbian dentists and doctors are known for their expertise and Serbian dental colleges for their grueling and selective 5 year long training, so it’s no wonder that dental tourism in Serbia is one of the fastest growing niches.
Coupled with a boom in “regular” tourism, country is welcoming masses of dental tourists who also use this opportunity to enjoy in unique blend of history, culture and temper of Serbia.

Best thing of all – no need to rush your procedure! One to two hours away from most major European destinations and with excellent connections, you can always come back for a checkup!

Dental tourism comes as a result of often skyrocketing prices in the West which many people cannot afford; instead they turn to clinics abroad for affordable health care and cheap dental implants.
This raises a question – can you really save up THAT MUCH money if you travel abroad? To put it simply – yes. In Western countries like UK, US, Switzerland, Australia, France, Germany etc. dental care is quite expensive, even for those with insurance. Patients from these countries often go to Eastern Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia where the costs are up to 70% lower!
To give you one practical example, recently a patient from UK paid £400 for a procedure in Serbia that would cost him more than £2500 back home. That is 80% difference in price!!!
