Dr. IhdeDental è stata fondata a Berlino nel 1954 dall’odontotecnico Klaus Ihde. Fin dall’inizio l’azienda è stata fondata come fornitore di materiali di consumo di alta qualità per l’odontoiatria. Alla fine degli anni ’80 la società commerciale si è gradualmente trasformata per includere la produzione.
Oggi il Dr. IhdeDental Group è uno dei principali produttori al mondo di impianti dentali per il carico immediato. I suoi prodotti sono utilizzati in oltre 40 paesi. Più di 1.000.000 di impianti sono stati prodotti in Svizzera da allora e utilizzati in tutto il mondo. Mentre la produzione non è stata eseguita internamente nei primi anni, il gruppo ha ora integrato quasi tutte le fasi produttive nella sede centrale in Svizzera.
Dr. IhdeDental ha sviluppato impianti che mostrano grandi risultati anche in casi difficili. È necessario un apporto di ossa molto basso, pertanto i trapianti e gli aumenti ossei non sono più necessari.
Il capo scientifico del gruppo è il Prof. Dr. Stefan Ihde, che ha ricevuto un’educazione dentale in Germania (1982-1987) e un ulteriore addestramento come parodontologo e chirurgo orale. Ha sviluppato l’implantologia strategica moderna. Sotto la sua guida si formò l’associazione Simpladent di cliniche dentistiche, un sistema educativo per implantologi e il concetto di carico immediato.
